This lesson is connected to My Eating Intuit Step 5: Reacquaint

REACQUAINTING is all about using affirmation and positive language to re-familiarize ourselves with both our true essence (our inner child spirit), as well as our inner-most desires/passions/dreams etc. to support us in manifesting these in our life.

Let’s break down the poem of the day related to this:

Are the Words I’m Speaking

Leaking

Truth and Positivity

or Seeping

in the Residue of

Doubt and Negativity?

PAUSE: Fact- Did you know that we have about 60,000 thoughts a day, 80% of which tend to be negative :/ The first step is noticing in the moment “oho, I caught you negative thought you”. (1)

I suppose

that when I notice

the Latter,

Instead of believing it-

which Flatters,

PAUSE: Where our mind goes, our energy goes, thoughts lead to actions which lead to results. So when I go down the rabbit hole of believing the negative thought… that has a direct effect on my resulting actions and outcomes.

I will practice Affirming

that It’s opinion doesn’t Matter

and in that…

Quiet the Chatter

PAUSE: Key word here… PRACTICE! One of the best ways to form a new thought behavior is with an affirmation. It’s like a little positivity sword battling for the space those negative thoughts take up.

It may happen just a little at a time, and it likely won’t feel like you’re making a big difference in the moment. In fact, you may even feel silly or uncomfortable when you first try your “I am beautiful. I am worthy. I am successful.” affirmation. That’s ok. Discomfort is a sign of growth 🙂

Here are some of my favorite affirmation resources:

  1. Abraham Hicks
  2. Affirmations for Women
  3. Wealth Affirmations Video
